Dr. Robert A. Mead

Dr. Robert A. Mead is a distinguished New York City clinical and consulting psychologist and relationship specialist. His independent practice includes a mental health consortium which facilitates personality growth and development through educational and therapeutic services.

Dr. Mead completed his undergraduate training at the University of Chicago and received his doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Columbia University. He is an expert in helping individuals develop healthy relationships with themselves and others. He also offers expertise and services in a diverse range of mental health related areas including the diagnosis and treatment of psychological problems, couples counseling, family therapy, psychological testing, testing for giftedness and personality evaluations. Additionally, he provides consultation to educational, legal, corporate and human services agencies.

Dr. Mead – utilizing an eclectic approach which integrates insight-oriented self-exploration with practical goal-oriented strategies – has helped thousands attain happiness, success, and realization of their aspirations. Additionally, Dr. Mead has made numerous media and lecture appearances and published numerous articles on a diverse range of mental health related topics such as sexuality, male-female relationships, effective parenting, racism and mental health, and lifestyle and stress management.

To balance out his busy professional life, Dr. Mead is an avid sailor, runner and tennis player. Some of his recreational accomplishments include sailing in the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas and completing over ten marathons in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
